Pre-College Program: Up, Up, and Away (Elementary and Middle School)
Program Overview: This program is open to all rising 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students (elementary school students), and rising 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students (middle school).. Students will learn about the science of flight through exciting hands-on activities, a field trip and guest speakers. Topics discussed will include compression and expansion air, history of flight, flight patterns, and aerodynamic forces. Activities include constructing balsa wood gliders. Advanced topics will be discussed as part of the middle school program. The program will culminate with an academic fest where family and friends will be invited.
Program Dates
Choose from two sessions:
- Elementary School-rising 4-6 graders: June 29-July 2, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
OR - Middle School-rising 7-9 graders: July 6-July 17, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Cost
Before June 1:
- $200 for Elementary School students.
- $375 for Middle School students.
- Before care begins at 8:00 a.m. and costs an additional $25
- After care costs an additional $25 and goes until 4:30 p.m.
- Before and after-care are available as a package for $40.
After June 1:
- On or after June 1 cost increases to $400 for all students.
(Cost covers daily snacks, however, students are responsible for bringing their own lunches.)
