Prism of Possibilities: Flowing Passions...Igniting Visionaries 



The University of Maryland’s Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering (CMSE), the Black Engineers Society (BES), the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), and the Student Community for Outreach, Retention, and Excellence (SCORE) will host its’ 36th Annual Student Recognition and Alumni Banquet.   The theme of the evening “Prism of Possibilities: Flowing Passions...Igniting Visionaries” serves to recognize the achievements of minority students and alumni, and encourages the pursuits of academic excellence.  Last year over 300 students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement. 

CMSE will present the James N. Newton and Michael L. Cherry scholarships during the banquet. This is an enriching experience and wonderful opportunity to inspire aspiring young professionals.

The Banquet is open to all students. Even non-awardees! AWARDEES may bring one (1) guest at no cost!

COST:  Early Bird Cost $40.  After April 14, Cost is $45.00 - Registration will close on Monday, April 24 at 11:59 p.m.
There is no cost to the undergraduate student awardee.  There is no cost for one (1) guest of the undergraduate student awardee. 

Sponsorship Opportunities
