Congratulations to the following LSAMP students for receiving National and University awards:

Paris Alexander was awarded the NSF Bridge to the Doctorate Fellowship for 2007-08. Paris is currently pursuing a PhD in Material Science and Engineering at the University of Maryland.

Brian Hayes received a fellowship from the National GEM Consortium for graduate school. Brian will attend Georgia Institute of Technology.

Jazalyn Dukes won the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship for graduate school. She will attend Georgia Institute of Technology. Jazalyn also won The Dean of Engineering's Leadership Award for 2008.

Anthony Awojoodu was honored as an Outstanding Student by the Fischell Department of BioEngineering.
